J. Espinosa is a photographer based in New York City. 
He was born and raised in The Bronx by parents from the Dominican Republic. His documentary work captures how working-class people are affected by issues like disability, racism, poverty, inequality, & immigration. He aims to document the resilience, resistance, and resolution of people who have been used, abused, & forgotten by the system.
Espinosa has been published by Riverdale Press, BronXchange, NPR's Latino USA, DePauw Magazine, Commune Magazine, GroundTruth, and La Galerìa Magazine. His clients have included Magrino PR, Matte Projects, Dyckman Farmhouse Museum, Northern Manhattan Immigration Coalition, Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute, Bronx Art Space, Jazz Foundation of America, The Peace Poets, & ASPIRA NY.
